Krystal Thompson is a compassionate and dedicated leader and licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of professional experience. Ms. Thompson has been instrumental in creating and expanding programs for various companies such as Hampton University, Dream Org. Inc. and The YMCA of Greater New York. Additionally, Ms. Thompson was awarded a seed grant for the establishment of a mentorship program, Mentors for Achievement, and was selected to represent Hampton University at both the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) 2013 Summer Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona and the Criminology and Criminal Justice for the 21st Century: Utilizing Researcher-Practitioner Partnerships for Justice System Improvement 2013 Conference. Ms. Thompson holds a Bachelor’s of Art degree in English from Fordham University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Hampton University. Krystal has been honored for outstanding achievement in counseling by the Hampton University Honors Council, she was inducted into the Omega Chi Nu Honor Society in 2014 which she held the title of treasure. She was also inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society in 2014 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She founded her own company, Journey 2 Love, in 2014 with a mission to document and encourage the journey of self love. Krystal utilizing her experience with business and clinical skills to co-found Peace of Mind Mental Health Services, LLC (POMMHS) in 2021; an outpatient Mental Health Group Practice in Virginia. Krystal has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with grief and relationship issues. She believes in a collaborative and strengths-based approach to therapy, where clients are active participants in their healing journey. In addition, to Journey 2 Love LLC and POMMHS, Krystal also co-founded Peace and Healing Incorporated in 2022, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the BIPOC community.
